Blue and White Bohemian Pressed Glass Bead Necklace; this is such
a great period piece of jewellery, still on its original rolled gold square
section wire; these glass beads are Bohemian in origin and a colour absolutely
typical of the period - I really like the pale blue teardrop beads which
have a lovely dimpled texture to them - in lovely condition throughout,
the necklace measures approx. 18¼ inches / 46.5 cm. £18.75

Approx. 40's-50's Japanese Blue and White Flower Necklace; signed
'Japan' on the clasp, this is a fascinating piece of glass beadwork in
pretty, summery colours - I have never seen anything like this one before.
All the beads have been stitched together to make this puzzle of a necklace
which fits together in an intriguing way; the necklace measures approx.
15¾ inches / 40cm but it seems smaller than this because the clusters
of beads make the inside measurement smaller. In original condition. £32.00

Bohemian Satin-Glass Flowers Necklace; lovely
spring-like necklace dating from the 1930's, Bohemian in
origin and made from satin glass, which was a speciality
of the Bohemian bead-making industry, a combination of opaque and
translucent glass; this is a wonderful surviving piece from the
period featuring soft blue twisted glass beads and clusters of flowers
and flower spacers made to look like ruffles, interspersed with their
original glass spacer beads - the necklace is on its original
brass wire and I can see there has been just one repair to the
necklace which is a jump-ring near the clasp which has been replaced and
is in silver as opposed to the original brass - everything else on this
necklace is in excellent vintage condition. The necklace measures approx.
17 inches/ 43.5cm. £55.00 |

Restrung and Remodelled 30s Bohemian Turquoise Millefiore Bead Necklace;
I have restrung and remodelled these glass beads to include tiny glass
rocailles (seed beads) and Swarovski crystal AB which reflect the colour
of the original beads into this wearable necklace, retaining the original
brass barrel clasp and brass beadcaps which have all aged down nicely;
all in lovely condition, though one bead has a hole in its body - what
I call a 'kiln hole' because it will have occurred when it was made when
a little air escaped from the glass - it has been like that since it was
made. The largest bead measures approx. 16mm, and the necklace measures
approx. 21½ inches / 54.5 cm. £54.00 |

Fabulous 40's-50's Austrian Crystal Strap and Buckle Bracelet;
this is wonderful - I have never seen anything quite like it. This was
a makers 'sample' piece so you can see the silver-coloured soldering on
the reverse; this means that there were probably not that many of these
pieces made; this piece must represent a lot of work on behalf of the
maker, and a lovely matching buckle clasp complements the rest of the
bracelet which measures approx. 8¾ inches / 22cm; the bracelet
has two holes and the smaller fitting fits my 6¼ inch / cm wrist
easily - and of course there is a slightly larger length hole as well;
the bracelet is approx. 1¼ inches / 3 cm, the buckle measures approx.
1½ inches / 4 cm. I love this piece because it is so unusual and
because it moves so beautifully, it feels so snug and well made on the
wrist. £68.00 An absolute beauty. |

Queen - 50's Sapphire Blue Crystal Tassel Necklace This is such a
beautiful, eye-catching and bold piece of crystal jewellery - fabulous
large faceted sapphire blue cabochons surrounded by clear crystal and
more sapphire blue - I believe that this may have been a sample piece
by a Bohemian manufacturer as the soldering is visible against the brass
casing on the back but this does not affect its appearance - its likely
that this is a one-off. Approx. 1950's in date, the necklace measures
approx. 19 inches / 48 cm and the tassel measures approx. 4 inches / 10
cm. £48.00 |

| 1920's Bohemian Cobalt Blue
and Flower Bead Necklace; a dainty little piece of antique beaded
jewellery - gorgeous intense deep lapis-lazuli blue overlaid with
pink flowers and green leaves - the main beads are a nice barrel type
shape and are set of nicely with the matching round beads - the largest
bead measures approx. 15x12mm and the small round beads measure approx.
5mm - all beads and spacers/ wiring etc appear to be original to
the necklace, and there is just one bead which is missing part
of a leaf - this is not noticeable until the necklace is closely inspected.
The necklace measures approx. 16 inches/ 40.5cm. £38.50 |

| 1930's/ 40's Bohemian Millefiore
Glass Bead Necklace - Remodelled and restrung on Beadalon
Professional; the original strand of beads was in a desperate
state and consisted of only the focal beads on some rather horrid old
stringing - I added the small topaz coloured glass spacers
which are correct approximate to the time of manufacture and the place
of manufacture of the focal beads - these are Bohemian in
origin. I have also added new matte rocailles/ seed beads
and gold-filled beadcaps - keeping the beads apart from
each other in this way is one of the best ways of protecting them; the
clasp is original to the focal beads and the restringing has been done
using Beadalon Professional. These striking deep blue glass beads are
decorated with partial Bohemian-glass maker style millefiore decoration
(over about half of the bead) - the largest bead measures approx. 25x15mm,
smallest around 10x7mm, the necklace measures approx. 29½ inches/
75cm. £58.00 |

| Edwardian Blue
Venetian Silver Foiled Bead Necklace; pretty pretty beads measuring
approx. 10x7mm - these have a dark base overlaid with silver foil which
is then overlaid with coloured glass before being cased in clear glass;
the necklace is of Venetian origin and in good condition
though the rolled gold square section metalwork has darkened
over the course of time, in line with the age of this piece of jewellery
- all metalwork and beads appear to be original to the piece - the necklace
measures approx. 16½ inches/ 42cm and is finished with its original
hook type clasp. £65.00 |
